Preventing work-related musculoskeletal disorders in a changing world of work

12th International Scientific Conference on the Prevention of Work-Related Musculoskeletal Disorders in Tübingen, Germany

The 12th International conference on the Prevention of Work-related Musculoskeletal Disorders (PREMUS2025) is the triannual conference of the ICOH Scientific Committee Musculoskeletal Disorders. The conference was hosted by the team of the Institute of Occupational and Social Medicine and Health Services Research, University Hospital Tübingen and was supported with contributions by the ICOH Scientific Committees Effectiveness of Occupational Health Services (EOHS) and Work Disability Prevention and Integration (WDPI).

With the main theme of the conference being “Prevention of work-related musculoskeletal disorders in a Changing World of Work”, and a very comprehensive scientific program including 5 plenary and 15 semi-plenary keynotes as well as 189 scientific presentations the conference addressed the impact of factors affecting musculoskeletal health associated with the ever-changing world of work.

With its 231 attendees from 6 continents and 28 countries the PREMUS conference in 2025 was the first international ICOH conference on the Prevention of Work-Related Musculoskeletal Disorders to be held entirely in-person since the COVID-19 pandemic to encourage networking and exchange. The two conference presidents Prof. Monika A. Rieger and Prof. Benjamin Steinhilber cordially thank the members of the scientific committee of the PREMUS2025 conference for their very valuable and constant contributions as well as all the helpers from the Institute of Occupational Medicine, Social Medicine and Health Services Research and University and University Hospital of Tübingen for their support in realizing this outstanding event. They also wish the next organizers in Colombia every success in their preparations for Premus 2028.
